A boy named Tyler was bullying and threatening Brent at school and Brent told the teacher. The teacher talked with both students and decided to give Tyler the benefit of the doubt because it was one student's word against another's. When Tyler continued to threaten Brent, it was overheard by other students who told the teacher in Brent's defense. The teacher had a second talk with Brent and Tyler and decided to send Tyler to the principal. Brent came home telling me what had happened but he was still upset. When I asked why, he said, "Because Mrs. Turner said she gave Tyler the benefit of the doubt the first time and she didn't give me anything."
