One evening when I wasn't feeling well, I told Brent I had been sick all day and that I was going to bed early. It was close to his bedtime so I told him goodnight and asked him not to wake me up unless it was something important. I was asleep for a total of 7 minutes when I heard a knocking on my door, followed by someone calling my name. I jumped up, rushed to the door and opened it to find Brent standing there looking calm and content. He said, "Do you know how old Thomas Jefferson would be if he were alive today?"
I said, "Brent, I asked you not to wake me up unless it was something important."
He said, "I thought history is important." Well, I couldn't argue with that…but when you finally get to sleep after being up sick all day, history is not very high on your list of important things.
